Greetings from David Fletcher | Brancepeth Castle Golf Club - PGA Golf Professional | Gone with the wind The weekend's European Tour action was a rain-affected affair in Madeira. You'll often read articles about how to control your ball flight in the wind and if you can add a new shot or two to your armoury then you'll be a better player for it.
A quick tip for you: to produce a slightly lower flight so your ball doesn't lose its penetration, move the ball back in your stance and focus on making a normal swing. It sounds simple but it's worth practicing this on the range and noting the change in trajectory which results from your hands being slightly ahead of the ball through impact. Master this and the next time the wind gets up midway through the monthly medal and you won't have the fear. You may even relish it! For more tips and advice, and to find out more about lessons with one of the team, don't hesitate to get in touch. Click here to view more of our tips. Spring showers? No problem… March is a funny month, weather-wise, and many of us do away with the waterproofs and try and make do with a sweater and light top. Often a bad decision, right? ProQuip’s Ultralite waterproofs are just that, very light indeed; ideal for tucking away and pulling out when the weather can’t make up its mind. They’re also performance packed with an athletic appearance. Watch this video to find out more and come in store to have a look at some of your colour options. | watch our video |
