Whilst many of the more decorated players are plying their trade in America right now, it gives a great opportunity for other pros to make a name for themselves. Lee Slattery was such a player at the Russian Open last weekend.
The Englishman is a great example of not allowing a perceived weakness to stand in the way of victory. We all have areas we're more accomplished at than others: you could be brilliant off the tee but struggle around the greens, or vice versa.
Slattery openly admits his short game has been letting him down recently so it would have been a real surprise to him that the shot of the day was his chip in on 17. Playing from thick rough above the hole, he didn't have much green to play with but played a perfectly weighted chip that dropped in the bottom of the cup.
It shows that all is not lost with any aspect of your game, no matter how long you've been playing golf. You can also turn what you to feel is a weak part of your game into a strength - and this is where we can help you.
If your chipping is an area you need to work on (and if you're not getting up and down every time - it is!), then come and speak to us in store, or get in touch here.
