Confidence with your driver

You might think that you’re worried about hitting your driver because you’re worried about making a mistake. But what you’re actually afraid of is the consequence of that mistake, which is why minimising the risk lets you be confident, not cautious, with driver in hand.

Don't miss right!

You can do this by eliminating misses to one side. For example, in the above illustration, eliminating that right-side miss will take away the danger of a water hazard and any penalty strokes. Suddenly you’re looking at missing to the left, which isn’t the end of the world, or striping one down the runway.

Looking at the Mizuno ST drivers, you’ll find that the ST-X is actually weighted to create a draw bias; helping you avoid that right-side miss, which would be ideal for the hole above. You could give it a good old whack and get further down the fairway without being scared of losing balls in the water and totting up the score.

While the ST-X driver has very obvious benefits, your game might be more suited to the ST-Z driver. The key here is finding out which is right for you, and the video above might go some way to helping you with that.
